The '11s are on the rise in New England.
Many made impacts at the prep and high school levels last season, but it’s still very early for this group. Some are emerging as high-end players in prep. Others are still coming into their own. Some may be popular recruits in next June's recruiting cycle, while others may not be eligible until 2028.
We've re-ranked the Top 50 '09s and done our first Top 50 for the '10s this week. Each will surely change plenty in the coming months and years.
Now, it's time to take a look at 30 notable '11s in the region.
The same guidelines apply. New England natives are eligible, as are players from outside the region who play for local preps, academies, and clubs. We evaluated players based on both current form and how they project.
The '11s are still frequently among the youngest players on the ice in a given game. Many players below competed at USA Hockey’s National 15 Camp this summer, too. They’re all players to keep an eye on in future iterations of our Top 50 rankings.
This watchlist of 30 prospects is just a snapshot of the rising talent among the 2011-born players around the region. Naturally, there are a lot more players to track than just 30.

Ava Barbour
Team: Groton/East Coast Wizards
Position: F
Hometown: Calgary, AB
Barbour instantly stepped in as an impact player for Groton last year, posting 21 points (10 goals) in 26 games en route to a Small School title. She's aggressive on the attack and has solid hands. Barbour could be an even bigger factor for the Zebras this winter.

Caitlin Byrne
Team: Williston Northampton/Connecticut Junior Rangers
Position: D
Hometown: Ridgefield, Conn.
After standing out with the Junior Rangers, Byrne is headed to Williston. The right-shot defender is poised on breakouts, where she makes a good first pass and skates the puck effectively. Byrne reached National 15 Camp after a strong showing at the New England District tryouts.
Mia Cataruzolo
Team: Rivers/Boston Junior Eagles
Position: F
Hometown: Milton, Mass.
Cataruzolo had a stellar freshman season in the MIAA, putting up 37 points (20 goals) en route to a title with Milton High. She'll make the jump to prep this season. Her ability to disrupt opponents, play with quick feet and make plays in transition will help the transition. Cataruzolo made National 15 Camp out of Mass. Hockey Festival.
Kylie Clancy
Team: New Hampton/Valley Junior Warriors
Position: F
Hometown: Merrimack, N.H.
Clancy is always taking the puck to the net and finding open space in the scoring areas. She plays with her head up and isn't afraid to dangle defenders. She's coming off an impressive showing at the New England District camp, and she reached National 15 Camp.

Katherine Cooke
Team: Phillips Andover/East Coast Wizards
Position: F
Hometown: Wenham, Mass.
Cooke chipped in five points (two goals) in a limited sample as a freshman at Andover last winter. She was one of the best players at the Mass. Festival, earning a spot at National 15 Camp, and her explosiveness and ability to drive play set her up well entering this season.
Sophia DiGioia
Team: Loomis Chaffee/Connecticut Polar Bears
Position: F
Hometown: Milford, Conn.
DiGioia was critical depth to Loomis' run to a repeat title last season, posting 13 points (seven goals). Her strength and compete helped her make an immediate impact in prep, and she could be in position for even more scoring chances in Year 2. DiGioia made National 15 Camp following a standout showing at the New England tryouts.
Lyla DiPietro
Team: Rivers/Boston Junior Eagles
Position: D
Hometown: Wellesley, Mass.
DiPietro earned a spot at 15 Camp after standing out in the Mass. Festival. She makes plays at both ends of the ice, pairing good hands with composure under pressure and a penchant for physicality.

Bess Elkins
Team: Loomis Chaffee/Connecticut Polar Bears
Position: D
Hometown: Northampton, Mass.
Elkins is headed to Loomis Chaffee this season. She reads the ice well with the puck on her stick and can get shots through from distance. She also plays a stout defensive game with an active stick against the rush. Elkins made 15 Camp out of the Mass. Festival.
Hanley Finnicum
Team: Nobles/Assabet Valley
Position: F
Hometown: Sudbury, Mass.
Finnicum reached 15 Camp after a strong Mass. Festival. Her skating gives her an edge in many situations, thanks to her quick feet and agility navigating tight spaces in the offensive zone.
Clare Healy
Team: BK Selects
Position: D
Hometown: South Burlington, Vt.
Healy boasts a quick, heavy release from the point, and she makes good reads when defending the rush, picking her spots to step up well.
U18 WOMEN’S NATIONAL FESTIVAL: 11 standout forwards | 9 standout defenders, goalies
Cam Katapodis
Team: Taft/Mid Fairfield Stars
Position: D
Hometown: Halifax, Mass.
After a standout run at Archbishop Williams, Katapodis is off to Taft. She makes quick decisions on breakouts, and her strong frame helps her tie up opponents around the net and kill plays. She made National 15 Camp.
Dylan King
Team: Shattuck-St. Mary's
Position: F
Hometown: Darien, Conn.
King's skating looks effortless with smooth, powerful strides that make her difficult to handle in transition. She has a quick release, too, and is coming off 17 points (seven goals) for Shattuck last season. King made National 15 Camp.
Finley Kolaric
Team: BK Selects
Position: F
Hometown: Quincy, Mass.
Kolaric is off to Bishop Kearney after spending the last three seasons at Dexter. A former standout with the Boston Junior Eagles, Kolaric plays with pace and creates high-quality looks in the attacking zone.

McKenzie Lima-Tower
Team: Williston Northampton/Charles River Blazers
Position: F
Hometown: Holbrook, Mass.
The first thing that instantly stands out with Lima-Tower is her speed. She can breeze through the neutral zone and put defenders on their heels. She made National 15 Camp, and the former Archbishop Williams standout is headed to Williston this season.
Cali Littlewood
Team: BB&N/Boston Junior Eagles
Position: F
Hometown: Braintree, Mass.
Littlewood had a solid debut season in prep with seven points (four goals). She's a dangerous forward who can drive play herself in addition to facilitating for her linemates.
Abigale Loring
Team: Dexter Southfield/Boston Junior Eagles
Position: F
Hometown: Wellesley, Mass.
Loring has already played two seasons of prep, and she's just entering her freshman season. She was dominant at the Mass. Festival in the spring, as she was difficult to contain in the attacking zone and constantly created quality chances. It earned her a spot at National 15 Camp. She can play both a finesse and powerful game.

Avery Lucier
Team: New Hampton/Valley Junior Warriors
Position: F
Hometown: Manchester, N.H.
Lucier stepped right into the prep ranks with 18 points (five goals) in 31 games as a freshman last season, helping New Hampton to the Small School final. Lucier's size (5-foot-7), strength and confidence were big reasons why she was able to be a factor right away for the Huskies. Lucier was at National 15 Camp.
Abigail Macauley
Team: Thayer/Boston Junior Eagles
Position: F
Hometown: Avon, Mass.
Macauley, who earned a nod at National 15 Camp, continues to ascend for Thayer, coming off 16 points (nine goals) as a freshman, doubling her eighth-grade totals. She's strong, excellent at the face-off dot and has a powerful release.
Charlotte McCafferty
Team: Milton Academy/Assabet Valley
Position: D
Hometown: Winchester, Mass.
McCafferty, who is headed to Milton Academy, plays an effective, consistent game with her ability to make quick decisions and find passing lanes. She does well defending the rush, taking away time and space. She made National 15 Camp.

Serena Mohsen
Team: BB&N/East Coast Wizards
Position: D
Hometown: Newton, Mass.
Mohsen continued to come into her own at BB&N last season, and she could be a major factor as a sophomore. She's big (5-foot-8) and mobile, which helps her excel defensively and when activating into the play. It helped earn her a spot at 15 Camp.
Kelly O'Brien
Team: Lovell Academy
Position: F
Hometown: Walpole, Mass.
O'Brien is fresh off 60 points (31 goals) in 60 games with Lovell Academy's 14U squad, making a big leap from 18 points in 59 games the year prior. She impressed at Mass. Festival with her ability to win battles and find open lanes.
Amelia Paes
Team: Williston Northampton/Boston Junior Eagles
Position: F
Hometown: West Roxbury, Mass.
Paes, a former standout with Arlington Catholic, is headed to Williston. The versatile forward plays a speedy game with quick release, in addition to her patience and vision with the puck. She earned a spot at 15 Camp this summer.

Juliet Platt
Team: Nobles/Boston Junior Eagles
Position: F
Hometown: Brookline, Mass.
Platt, who shone as one of Brookline High's top goal-scorers last season, plays an opportunistic game, hounding puck-carriers on the forecheck and forcing turnovers. She's off to Nobles after reaching National 15 Camp.
Samantha Sada
Team: Williston Northampton/Connecticut Polar Bears
Position: F
Hometown: West Springfield, Mass.
Sada is coming off an excellent spring at the Mass. Hockey Festival. She plays with high compete and reads the play well in the attacking zone, two things that make her a difficult matchup for opposing defenders. Her motor is always going with her up-tempo style.
Bella Scanlan
Team: BK Selects
Position: D
Hometown: Wilton, Conn.
Scanlan excels at moving the puck with her long strides and ability to see the ice well, making her a one-person breakout at times. She's coming off 26 points (three goals) for Bishop Kearney last season. Scanlan was one of the best skaters at the New England tryouts, and she earned a spot at National 15 Camp.

Janvi Singh
Team: BB&N/Boston Junior Eagles
Position: D
Hometown: Lexington, Mass.
Singh had a solid first season in prep with seven points (three goals) from the blue line for BB&N. She's poised with the puck, makes quick decisions and maintains good gaps defensively. She made 15 Camp this summer.
Genevieve Walsh
Team: BK Selects
Position: F
Hometown: Fairfield, Conn.
Walsh had 46 points (20 goals) for Bishop Kearney last winter, and she was one of the best players on the ice at the New England tryouts, earning a spot at 15 Camp. She's a dynamic player who can control the play whenever she is on the ice, and her speed helps her beat defenders 1-on-1.
Reese Weaver
Team: North Yarmouth Academy/Valley Junior Warriors
Position: F
Hometown: North Yarmouth, Maine
Weaver's coming off 14 points (seven goals) as a freshman at NYA last season. Her speed allows her to beat defenders off the rush and take advantage of lanes to the net. She also finishes plenty of chances around the net with her good hands.

Avery Wightman
Team: Rivers/East Coast Wizards
Position: G
Hometown: Douglas, Mass.
Wightman is headed to Rivers, where there will be plenty of opportunity in the crease after the Red Wings graduated Ellie Beigel and Ava Russo. She was the only Mass. goalie to make 15 Camp, and she has been a standout with the Wizards' 14U squad. She posted a .927 save percentage at USA Hockey Nationals in the spring.
Malin Wilde
Team: St. Paul's/Assabet Valley
Position: D
Hometown: Shelburne, Vt.
Wilde played big minutes as a freshman at St. Paul's, posting 15 points (two goals) in 30 games. Her size and long reach make her a difficult matchup, and she has good timing with her stick and physicality in 1-on-1s. Wilde also made 15 Camp.
