The week before the New England boys prep hockey holiday tournaments can be a bit of a weird one, as some teams play more than others and much of the focus is on those upcoming showcases.
That didn't stop some players from going off over the last week.
We looked at the Top Performers from the first bit of the season last week, and what's cool is that there are many new names mentioned this week, as well as some similar ones.
Here are the names to know from the week of Dec. 10-16.

Top skater: AJ Oliveri, Worcester Academy
Oliveri put up video game numbers over the last week. After scoring in a 10-3 loss to No. 2 St. Mark's, he scored twice (including the game-winner) in a 6-5 OT win over Kents Hill and posted a hat trick (including another game-winner) and registered two more assists to beat Hebron, 6-5, in overtime.

Addazio had a strong week for Berwick. He made 29 saves to tie Pingree, 2-2, and made 29 more saves in a 3-1 loss to Middlesex.

Top skater:Â Lucas Husted-Edwards, Kent
This could've also gone to Will Schlechtweg, but I gave the edge to Husted-Edwards due to goals. He notched two goals and two assists in his team's 4-2 win over Frederick Gunn, and followed that with a goal and two helpers in the 5-3 loss to Salisbury.

Palmer continued to be Steady Eddie for Avon Old Farms, making 29 saves to beat Taft (5-2), 30 to take down Trinity-Pawling (6-4) and 25 to score a 6-1 win over Deerfield. He sports a 1.40 goals-against average and a .949 save percentage through five games.

ISL Eberhart
Top skater:Â Evan Nee, St. Mark's
Caiden Pellegrino had more points and leads the region with 22 in six games (absurd!), but the edge goes to Nee, who had seven of St. Mark's 28 goals last week. He notched a hat trick in a 10-3 thumping of Worcester Academy, two goals (and an assist) in a 10-0 win over BB&N and two more in an 8-1 win over Brooks. His 11 goals lead the region. The '07 is still uncommitted.

Top skater:Â Billy MacAusland, Nobles
MacAusland stepped up big time this week. He posted two goals and a helper to beat Tabor, 3-2, on Wednesday. The Brown commit added a shorthanded goal and an assist to beat Berwick, 3-1, on Saturday. He has nine points in four games.

Apparently, it's Nobles week. The '09 made 36 saves to take down Tabor before turning away 24 shots against Berwick. Lee getting right for Nobles spells bad news for opponents.

Top skater:Â Conal Mulkerrin, Kimball Union
KUA's whole team could've been in the honorable mentions this week, as the Wildcats tallied 25 goals across three games. Mulkerrin had a goal and an assist in a 9-4 win over Proctor and two goals and a helper in a 12-1 win over Brewster Academy. He was big in Monday's 4-2 win over an emerging St. Paul's with a goal and an assist. The Hingham, Mass., native is off to a scorching start with 10 goals and 14 points in nine games.

Despite the two losses, Marshall was huge for Tilton this week. It started with 44 saves in a 3-2 loss against New Hampton and continued with 40 saves in a 4-1 loss to Holderness. The Seabrook, N.H., native sports a 2.47 GAA and a .936 save percentage.

Independents
Top skater:Â Noah Poinsett-Yoshida, Phillips Exeter
In just two games, Poinsett-Yoshida had a banner week. The junior forward potted two goals and added an assist in an 8-3 loss to then-No. 4 Dexter Southfield. He came up huge days later with three assists in a 3-2 OT win over St. Sebastian's, assisting on Jack Marquardt's winner. Poinsett-Yoshida is up to 12 points in seven games.

Top goalie:Â Kamden Jackson, Williston Northampton
It was another great week for Jackson, as the Williston goalie was under siege. In a 2-1 loss to then-No. 8 Cushing, he made 43 saves. He followed that up with 42 saves to beat Frederick Gunn, 3-2. Through five games, Jackson has given up six goals and carries a 1.19 GAA and a .968 save percentage. Is that good?
