The 2025-26 season was another exciting run for New England's Division 1 women's college hockey programs and players.
Among the highlights was Northeastern reaching the Frozen Four for the fourth time in five seasons. Yale, UConn and Quinnipiac also reached the national tournament.
Elsewhere, several other local programs had incredible seasons, including Holy Cross, which had its best season in recent history. Meanwhile, Harvard took home the Beanpot for the first time since 2022.
You also had local native Caroline Harvey, fresh off a gold medal in the Olympics, winning the Patty Kazmaier Award as the nation's top player as she helped lead Wisconsin to the national title.
Here are our 2025-26 women's college hockey awards.
Player of the Year: Caroline Harvey, Wisconsin
No surprise here as Harvey (Salem, N.H.) took home the Patty Kazmaier Award as the nation’s top player, becoming the second straight Badger and fifth New England native to win the award. Harvey led all defenders with 64 points in 33 games, while her 46 assists were second nationally, as she helped win her third national title at Wisconsin and second in a row. The WCHA Player of the Year and first-team All-American, Harvey became the first Badger defender to eclipse 200 career points. She also earned Olympic MVP as Team USA won gold in Milan in February.

Coach of the Year: Katie Lachapelle, Holy Cross
The Hockey East Coach of the Year, Lachapelle (Lewiston, Maine) led the Crusaders to one of their best seasons in program history, finishing 19-13-3 (10-11-3 HEA) and making the Hockey East semifinals for the first time. Holy Cross set a single-season program record for Hockey East wins this season, while tying its fifth-most wins ever. The Crusaders were ranked nationally for the first time in program history this season, making the USCHO poll for four weeks from Jan. 19 to Feb. 9. Holy Cross posted a top-10 defense nationally with 1.84 goals-against per game (eighth) and 65 total goals-against (fifth).
Goalie of the Year: Tia Chan, UConn
Chan had a record-breaking season for UConn en route to a national tournament appearance. She repeated as Hockey East Goaltender of the Year in addition to earning a first-team All-American nod. She led Hockey East goalies in wins (27), shutouts (five), goals-against average (1.55) and save percentage (.951). Chan also set the program single-season record for saves (1,222) and wins and tied her save percentage record. She ranked in the top three nationally in wins and save percentage, too, while ranking fourth in GAA.

Rookie of the Year: Molly Boyle, Yale
After starring as one of the top defenders in the NEPSAC, Boyle (Scituate, Mass.) stepped right in as one of the top defenders in college hockey. The first-year led the ECAC with 23 assists, to go along with 13 goals en route to 36 points, the highest single-season total ever by a Yale defender. The Phillips Andover product was named ECAC Defender of the Year and Ivy League Rookie of the Year, in addition to earning All-Ivy, All-ECAC and second-team All-American nods. Boyle scored two goals in the national tournament, including the lone goal in Yale’s 1-0 win over Minnesota-Duluth in the NCAA regional semifinals.
