School is back in session now, but since the pre-Christmas holiday tournaments wrapped up, several New England boys prep hockey teams haven't been in action.
Many, however, were in action at showcases this past weekend.
The Housatonic teams weren't playing, so they're not included in Top Performers this week. Don't be alarmed — they'll be back in Top Performers next week.
There were some big showings over the latest stretch.

Holt
Top skater:Â Cam Lathrop, North Yarmouth Academy
Lathrop was consistent through North Yarmouth Academy's games this past weekend. He tallied a goal and an assist in a 3-3 tie with Berwick, before setting up Deagan Nadeau's goal later in the day in a 4-1 win over BB&N. He potted another goal the next day in a 4-2 loss to Roxbury Latin.

Top goalie:Â Warren DuBois, Austin Prep
DuBois continued his strong season for Austin Prep at the Belmont Hill/Nichols Tournament. He made a whopping 45 saves to take down Ridley College, 2-1, before making 28 stops on 31 shots in a 4-2 defeat to Nichols. The junior netminder carries a fantastic 1.92 goals-against average and a .945 save percentage.
Honorable mentions: Vincent Parillo, North Yarmouth Academy (75 saves on 81 shots over two games); Ethan Addazio, Berwick (39 saves on 42 shots in one game); DJ Patriss, Berwick (32 saves on 34 shots in one game)
ISL Eberhart
Top skater:Â Payton Tracy, St. George's
I always like giving the top skater to a defenseman, and Tracy certainly earned it. At the Tabor New Year's Tournament, Tracy posted two assists in a 5-5 tie with Winchendon before going off for a goal and two helpers (including an assist on the winner) in a 5-4 victory over Milton Academy.

Potter was rather busy over three games this past weekend. On Friday, he made 34 saves on 37 shots in a 4-1 loss to North Yarmouth Academy. He followed that up with 54 saves in a 2-0 loss to Roxbury Latin later that day. He was busy on Saturday, too, with 42 saves on 44 shots in a 3-2 win over Berwick in OT. I'm no Math wizard, but 130 saves in two days is bananas.
Honorable mentions: Lucas Dolan, Roxbury Latin (65 saves on 68 shots over three games); Alex Wang, St. George's (85 saves on 94 shots over three games)
ISL Keller
Top skater:Â Ty Hymovitz, Thayer
Since returning from injury, Hymovitz has been a force. He tallied two goals in a 3-3 tie (4-3 shootout win) against No. 1 Dexter. He followed that up with a goal and an assist to beat Governor's, 2-1, and a third-period goal to beat Lawrence Academy in the final, 3-0. With 11 points in six games, he continues to strengthen his case for a Division 1 commitment.

Thayer won the Watkins Tournament mostly because of Moschella. He was outstanding against No. 1 Dexter, making 51 saves. Against Governor's, he turned aside 29 shots before being perfect against Lawrence with a 28-save shutout.

Lakes
Top skater:Â Johnny Niemela, New Hampton
Only New Hampton and Proctor have been active since the pre-Christmas tournaments. Niemela was huge for New Hampton in the Watkins Tournament. After notching an assist in a 3-1 loss to Lawrence Academy and another in a 5-1 loss to Cushing, he popped off for a goal and two helpers to take down Stanstead College, 5-4, in overtime. He had the winner.
Honorable mentions: Luke Long, Proctor (0-5—5); Axel Black, Proctor (3-0—3); Garret Aceto, Proctor (2-1—3); Dylan Podergois, New Hampton (0-3—3);

Independents
Top skater:Â Giacomo Caliri, Pomfret
Pomfret had a high-scoring time at the Tabor New Year's Tournament, and Caliri was at the center of it. In a 5-5 tie with Winchendon, he had a goal and an assist before tallying another goal and two more assists to beat Milton, 5-4. He went off for another goal and four more assists in a 5-1 win over Proctor, bringing his point total to nine in three games.

Top goalie:Â Cody Hew, Canterbury
Hew was outstanding against then-No. 9 Cushing, making 48 saves to win, 3-1. He stopped 20 of 22 shots in a 3-0 loss to Lawrence Academy, and finished with 29 saves to tie Governor's 3-3. Hew carries a 2.49 GAA and a .922 save percentage.
