Was it the busiest week in New England boys prep hockey? No, it wasn't. But there was still notable action.
Cushing got back on track with a Watkins Tournament victory, Tabor went on quite the run to win its own tournament and Kimball Union came oh-so-close to winning the GameSheet Prep Cup.
The matchups heat up over the next seven days as schools return to a normal schedule facing conference opponents.
Let's dive into the top boys prep performers from Jan. 1-7.
Holt
Top skater:Â Adrian Mendoza, North Yarmouth Academy
NYA took part in the North Yarmouth Academy Holiday Faceoff, playing three games. Mendoza brought it in a 6-1 win over BB&N, registering three goals and adding two assists. He tallied a goal in a 2-2 tie with Berwick and notched an assist in a 5-2 loss against Roxbury Latin.

Top goalie:Â Ethan Addazio, Berwick
Berwick went 2-0-1 at the North Yarmouth Academy Holiday Faceoff. Addazio had a major hand in that success, making 39 saves to tie NYA, 2-2. He followed that up with a 17-save shutout of BB&N. The junior has a stunning 1.42 goals-against average and a .953 save percentage on the season.

Housatonic
Top skater:Â Connor Davis, Salisbury
Davis was terrific at the GameSheet Prep Cup. In a 2-1 OT win over Frederick Gunn, the Northeastern commit lit the lamp twice. He was dynamite in a 7-5 win over South Kent, scoring twice and adding an assist. No surprise here — he leads Salisbury in goals (8) and points (16).

Top goalie:Â Brady Morris, Taft
Morris was stellar in Taft's lone game over the last week, which was a 7-1 win over The Hill School. He made 20 saves in the victory. But I'm also giving this to Morris for his overall body of work. He was outstanding as a first-year starter last season, posting a 2.42 GAA and a .923 save percentage as a junior. He's been even better this season with a 2.12 GAA and a .936 save percentage. It's great to see the senior '06 playing so well.

ISL Eberhart
Top skater:Â Marco Senerchia, St. George's
The dynamic, puck-moving defenseman was his usual self at the Tabor Tournament. He notched a goal and an assist in a 3-2 win over St. Paul's, an assist in a 3-2 loss to Milton Academy and then three assists in an 8-4 victory against Winchendon. The Providence College commit leads the Dragons in points through 10 games with 17.

ISL Keller
Top skater:Â Ethan Travis, Tabor
Have a freakin' weekend, Ethan Travis. The '08 sophomore went off for an incredible string of games. It started with a goal and two assists in a 6-2 win over Kents Hill. He posted two goals and an assist in a 3-2 victory over Winchendon. He saved his best for the tournament championship, notching a hat trick and two helpers to beat Milton Academy, 6-3. He now leads Tabor in goals (9) and points (17).
The ISL Keller was the busiest conference this week. Most of these players below would've been Top Skater in almost every other section.

Top goalie:Â Vinnie D'Urso, Tabor
D'Urso was stellar in all three of Tabor's wins this week. It started with 20 saves to beat Kents Hill before making 28 to take Winchendon down. In the championship against Milton, D'Urso turned aside 29 of 32 shots. The Andover, Mass., native carries a 2.98 GAA and a .912 save percentage for the season.

Lakes Region
Top skater:Â Harry Dermody, St. Paul's
Dermody posted a big weekend at the Tabor Tournament. He notched two goals in a 3-2 loss to St. George's. He followed that up with an assist in 4-1 win over Proctor and a goal and an assist in a 4-2 victory against Pomfret. He ranks second to Matt Vohra on the team in points with 15.

Truchon was stellar for head coach Scott Harff's team at the Tabor Tournament. Even in the loss to St. George's, the late '06 made 29 saves. He followed it up with 34 saves to beat Proctor and 27 to come out victorious against Pomfret. The South Burlington, Vt., native carries a 3.23 GAA and a .912 save percentage on the season.

Independents
Top skater:Â Max Dineen, Cushing
Dineen had himself a weekend at the Watkins Tournament. He scored a goal and added an assist in a 4-3 OT win over Canterbury. Dineen left no crumbs in an 8-0 drubbing of Lawrence Academy, posting two goals and two assists. He followed that up with the same stat line in a 6-3 win over Dexter Southfield in the championship. After that offensive explosion, Dineen ranks third in the region in points with 26.

Top goalie: Logan Heideman, Frederick Gunn
Heideman posted solid numbers while going up against high-level teams at the GameSheet Prep Cup. He stopped 35 of 38 shots in a 4-1 loss to Northwood. The Highlanders' lone win was a 5-1 victory over Nichols and Heideman had 27 saves.
