The Holt Conference has some legitimate talent.
Some of the region’s most productive point-getters last season came from the Holt Conference. Fortunately, some of those players are still in the Holt this season.
There will also be some younger players stepping up and making an impact.
Let’s dive into our preseason First and Second All-Holt teams.
First team
F: Felix-Antoine Parenteau, Kents Hill
Parenteau was vital for Kents Hill last season, notching 15 goals and finishing with 34 points in 30 games. Kents Hill lost a good amount of scoring to graduation, so Parenteau should be poised to take on an even bigger role in the offense.
F: Adrian Mendoza, North Yarmouth Academy
North Yarmouth Academy was led in scoring last season by Hugo Daniel with 44 points. Daniel is off to the NAHL, so it’s up to Mendoza, who was second on the team in points last season with 43, to step up once again and lead the Panthers offensively.

F: Noah Jimbo, Portsmouth Abbey
Jimbo broke out last season for 12 goals and 35 points, which led his team. Jimbo will be a big part of one of the best offenses in the Holt this season, which should increase his numbers even more.
D: Jimmy Connor, Berwick
Berwick put together a strong season last year and Connor was a big part of that, contributing a goal and 19 assists from the back end. Despite Berwick losing its top three scorers, Connor should still be able to produce given the strides he’s made in his own game.
D: Max Kirianov, Pingree
Kirianov posted no goals and 21 assists as a sophomore in 2022-23. Last season, the junior scored six goals and tallied 18 points in 27 games. He should continue to make an impact for Pingree as a puck-moving machine.

G: Tristan Bourassa, Kents Hill
Bourassa got the majority of the minutes for Kents Hill last season and was solid, notching a 2.92 GAA and a .906 save percentage. It will be up to him to be even better this season to help Kents Hill get above .500.
Second team
F: Joe Gaffney, Pingree
Gaffney was vital for Pingree last season, posting 13 goals and finishing with 30 points in 30 games. Pingree lost its top two scorers, so there will be some more pressure on Gaffney to produce.
F: Max Guertin, Pingree
The above description applies for Guertin, too. He scored eight goals and tallied 29 points in 29 games. He will also be called upon to produce more — and should have no problem with that.
F: Connor Nolan, Portsmouth Abbey
Nolan was a big bright spot for Portsmouth Abbey last season, leading his team in goals with 16 as a freshman ‘07. Making that kind of impact as a freshman usually translates to more success the next year. Fortunately for Nolan, he will be surrounded by talent.

D: Luca Mestrandrea, Portsmouth Abbey
Mestrandrea contributed a good amount of offense last season, scoring two goals and posting 14 points in 29 games. He should be doing so again this season, too.
D: Jack Copponi, Worcester Academy
Copponi put together a nice junior year last season, scoring four goals and tallying 16 points in 25 games.
G: Vincent Ouellet, North Yarmouth Academy
Ouellet posted a nice junior season last year with a 3.34 GAA and a .908 save percentage en route to helping North Yarmouth Academy accumulate 15 wins.
