We're at the halfway point of the season, which means NHL Central Scouting has released its midterm rankings ahead of the 2026 NHL Draft.
Nine locals made the North American skater rankings. NHL Central Scouting splits up the categories into North American skaters, North American goalies, international skaters and international goalies.
For the midterm rankings, players were ranked in order by round.
A friendly reminder that just because someone was ranked in a certain spot doesn't mean they will go there. A whole half of a season has still yet to be played, and the rankings consist of 244 North Americans and 148 international players. It's competitive.

Casey Mutryn (Norwell, Mass.) was the first New Englander ranked, coming in at No. 30 in the first round. The 6-foot-3, 201-pound forward has 20 points in 33 games for the U.S. National Team Development Program's U18 team.
The region had two players ranked in the third round, with Moncton Wildcats teammates Niko Tournas (Redding, Conn.) and Rian Chudzinski (Needham, Mass.) getting listed at 81 and 90, respectively. Tournas, in his third year of eligibility, has 26 goals and 45 points in 38 games, while Chudzinski has 12 goals and 20 points in 30 games.
