No new teams entered this week's girls prep hockey rankings.
That doesn't mean there isn't a lot to get to. In fact, it's quite the opposite.
There were a handful of top-10 matchups in addition to other key tilts. The fallout from those games included one team falling out of the top three, while another also slipped a couple of spots.
One team I've got my eye on in particular for this week's top 10, as well as going forward: Dexter Southfield. Maggie Taverna's group is the only undefeated team left in prep. They picked up two strong wins last week en route to cracking the top three in this week's rankings.
The schedule remains jam-packed this week with quality games across the region.

1. Williston Northampton (11-1-0)

Next game: vs. Dexter Southfield, Jan. 21, 4:45 p.m.
The Wildcats continue to roll, staying put at No. 1 with a pair of wins. They took care of Berkshire, 9-0, behind three-point games for Mia Daley (Lynnfield, Mass.), Brooke Schlutter, Catie Putt (Norfolk, Mass.) and Brenna Ziter (Williston, Vt.). Ashley Anderson (Wilmington, Mass.) also scored twice. Williston also took a massive win over then-No. 2 Loomis Chaffee, 2-1, thanks to goals from Schlutter and Nina Coffee (Old Lyme, Conn.). River Grady (Bedford, N.H.) made 19 saves. Another tough week is ahead for Williston, which will host No. 3 Dexter Southfield on Wednesday and Kent on Saturday. The Wildcats are No. 1 in the JSPR.

Andover's winning streak is up to five straight after the Big Blue rolled past Kimball Union, 9-0, before taking down former No. 6 St. Paul's, 4-2. Caroline Averill (Wayland, Mass.) had four points, including two goals, against St. Paul's as she eclipsed the 100-point milestone for her career. Sarah Powers (Lynnfield, Mass.), who reached 100 points the previous week, led the way with four points against KUA. Andover will look to keep the streak going against Lawrence Academy on Wednesday before hosting a tough Thayer squad on Saturday. The Big Blue will also get Maggie Averill (Wayland, Mass.) back in the lineup this week, fresh off winning a gold medal with Team USA at the U18 Women's Worlds. Andover is No. 3 in the JSPR.
3. Dexter Southfield (10-0-2)

Next game: at Williston Northampton, Jan. 21, 4:45 p.m.
Dexter picked up a pair of key wins last week. The Shields knocked off then-No. 6 St. Paul's 3-1, rallying after giving up the opening goal, before shutting out Governor's, 3-0. Leah Hafer (Winchester, Mass.) had a goal and an assist versus SPS, while Maggie Chudzinski (Needham, Mass.) and Sawyer Merrill (Hingham, Mass.) scored as well. Annabelle Aitken (Winchester, Mass.) also made 29 saves. Merrill was among three different goal-scorers against Gov's, extending her scoring streak to three games. Dexter has a challenging week ahead. They'll face their toughest test yet in a visit with No. 1 Williston on Wednesday. They'll also visit Thayer on Friday. Dexter is second in the JSPR.

The Bulldogs bounced back from their first loss of the season the previous week, taking down Middlesex, 6-1, and Rivers, 2-1, this past week. Gretta Hulbig (Foxboro, Mass.) had a hat trick against Middlesex, and Francie Ames (Brookline, Mass.) potted a pair. Rachel Zhao (Needham, Mass.) had three assists. Hulbig and Zhao also scored in the win over Rivers. Nobles will get Lily Bromley (Carlisle, Mass.), Catherine McCool (West Roxbury, Mass.) and Ava Decourcey (Rockland, Mass.) back from the U18 Women's Worlds this week. They'll be key to the Bulldogs keeping the momentum up against Austin Prep on Wednesday, Berwick on Friday and No. 8 Phillips Exeter on Saturday. Nobles ranks fourth in the JSPR.

5. Loomis Chaffee (11-2-0)

The Pelicans tumbled to No. 5 after taking their second loss of the season, a 2-1 result at the hands of Williston. It was a "quality" loss, if you will, for Loomis against the top team in prep. The Pelicans kept Grady busy with 20 shots, and Easton Pramuka scored. It spoiled an otherwise strong week for Loomis, which shut out Kent, 3-0, and Hotchkiss, 5-0. Pramuka was one of three goal-scorers against Kent, while Megan Hosman (three points) and Sophie DiGioia (Milford, Conn.) each scored a pair versus Hotchkiss. Loomis, which is fifth in the JSPR, has a big week on tap, visiting Taft on Wednesday before hosting No. 7 Tabor on Saturday.

Deerfield jumped a spot after taking care of business in a pair of games last week. The Big Green dominated Northfield Mount Hermon, 10-0, before taking care of then-No. 9 Exeter, 5-1. Alessandra Picard (Madison, Conn.) and Sophie Frost each had two goals and an assist against NMH. Picard added another goal against Exeter, while Ava Giroux (St. Albans, Vt.) scored a pair versus Exeter after scoring against NMH, too. Deerfield has won six straight and is No. 7 in the JSPR. The Big Green will have their hands full this week, though, hosting Choate on Wednesday and New Hampton on Friday before heading to Taft on Saturday. Choate and Taft are jockeying for position in the JSPR.
7. Tabor (7-2-1)

Next game: at Thayer, Jan. 21, 5 p.m.
Tabor bumped up one spot after taking care of New Hampton, 4-0, on Saturday. It followed a 4-1 win over Brooks earlier in the week. Giuliana Polcari (Marshfield, Mass.) and Lilly Shaughnessy (Medfield, Mass.) had big weeks for the Seawolves. Each scored in Tabor's win over Brooks, while Polcari scored twice and Shaughnessy had a goal and an assist against New Hampton. The Seawolves are sixth in the JSPR and have a tough week ahead. They'll visit Thayer on Wednesday before heading to Loomis Chaffee on Saturday.

St. Paul's slid two spots after two competitive top-10 losses. The Big Red had then-No. 4 Dexter on its heels, leading 1-0 early, thanks to Grace White, before falling, 3-1. SPS also led Andover, 2-0, off goals from White and Maddy Humber (Concord, Mass.), in what wound up as a 4-2 loss. Paige MacPhee was busy in net, stopping 57 of 60 shots against the Big Blue. SPS is No. 9 in the JSPR, and they'll look to convert those early leads into wins with three home games this week. They'll host Cushing on Wednesday, KUA on Friday and Pomfret on Saturday.

Exeter stayed put at No. 9. The Big Red split their games last week, taking care of Worcester Academy, 2-1, before falling to then-No. 7 Deerfield, 5-1, in their first loss of the season. It was encouraging to see Dominique Reiher and Mia Griffith step up offensively against Worcester with two of Exeter's top skaters, Paisley Meyer (Greenland, N.H.) and Erin Sears (Cornwall, Vt.), out sick. Exeter, which is eighth in the JSPR, will look to get back on track at Holderness on Wednesday before a big home tilt with Nobles on Saturday.

Groton stayed at No. 10 after getting it done in its lone game of the week, a 5-0 win over Milton Academy. The Zebras got goals from four different skaters. Zoe Smith (Bolton, Mass.) stayed hot with a pair of goals, while Ava Barbour, Charlotte Matusovich (New Gloucester, Maine) and Jamie Noonan (East Bridgewater, Mass.) each scored as well. Smith has four goals in her last four games. A busy week is ahead for Groton, which will host Proctor on Wednesday and North Yarmouth Academy on Friday before visiting Rivers on Saturday. They'll hope to keep the depth production going, even with Tina Scalese (West Boylston, Mass.) returning to the lineup from the U18 Women's Worlds. Groton is 10th in JSPR.
