The ECEL Fall Classic will take place this Saturday through Monday at the Rodman Arena in Walpole, Mass.
The ECEL is a league run by former Quinnipiac hockey player Peter Alden, who is the General Manager of the Elite Hockey Program, a participant in the league. There will be 18U, 16U and 15U divisions at the ECEL Fall Classic.
The most scouted division will be 16U. Boston Advantage, New Jersey Titans, New Jersey Devils and Hill Academy are the teams with the most intriguing prospects.
Boston Advantage, coached by former Maine and UMass star Tim Lovell, features a few commits and a few top uncommitted prospects. Forwards Matt MacDonald (Merrimack) and Jonny Hammel (Holy Cross), plus defenseman Stephen Davis (Boston College), are the trio of committed players on the Advantage.
'02 Timmy Lovell is extremely small, but he's one of the best puck-moving defensemen in the region. His skating and retrievals are both elite. Other Division 1 prospects on the Advantage are goaltender Connor Bradford, forwards Ryan Corcoran, Carson Whitman and Nick Ring, and defensemen Jake Cosentino, Collin Wojciechowski and Colin Oppelt.
On the New Jersey Devils, players to watch are defenseman Logan Heroux and goaltender Brett Cleaves. Both are uncommitted and have a chance to be Division 1 players. The top player on the New Jersey Titans is Colorado College commit Jake Larusso.

Mass Selects League Showcase
The Mass. Selects League Showcase takes place Friday and Sunday at the Warrior Arena in Brighton, Mass., and Conte Forum on the campus of Boston College. Several other area rinks will also host the showcase.
Teams in the 18U, 16U and 15U division will compete throughout the weekend. The top teams to watch are Mid Fairfield (18U and 16U), Boston Junior Eagles (18U, 16U and 15U), Cape Cod Whalers (18U, 16U and 15U), NE Prep All-Stars (18U and 16U), Northwood 18U, GBL Bruins 18U, Little Bruins 18U and Junior Bruins 16U.
