  • Former BU goaltender John Curry, now of the Orlando Solar Bears, has been fined by the ECHL for spraying a few hecklers with a water bottle. Puck Daddy has the story.

  • After negotiating until 10:15 p.m. last night, the NHL and NHLPA will return to the bargaining table at 1 o’clock this afternoon. TSN has the latest.

  • It turns out Rick DiPietro (Winthrop, Mass.) isn’t injured after all – or so he says. New York Hockey Journal’s Christian Arnold has the latest on the oft-injured netminder’s alleged groin woes.

  • The U.S. Under-18 Team beat Finland last night in the Four Nations Tournament. Tyler Kelleher (Longmeadow, Mass.) opened the scoring to get Team USA off on the right foot.

  • The Sound Tigers had a rare 11 a.m. tilt against the visiting Norfolk Admirals today. At the time of this writing, Bridgeport led 2-1 midway through the second period, with goals coming from Colin McDonald (New Haven, Conn.) and Johan Sundstrom.

  • Sabres star forward Thomas Vanek – who’s long been a Bruins killer – returned from an 11-game stint in Austria, where he played for his hometown squad, Graz. Vanek racked up 15 points overseas.
