  • The AHL’s top-seeded Providence Bruins will meet the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins tonight in Game 3 of their second-round playoff series. The P-Bruins currently hold a 2-0 series advantage. 

  • Speaking of Providence, Boston Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli announced on Tuesday that the club had recalled defenseman Torey Krug from the P-Bruins.  In 70 combined games (regular season and playoffs) at the AHL level this season, Krug has scored 13 goals and added 35 assists for a total of 48 points.

History Lesson

  • Today is the 48th birthday of the Bruins’ third round draft choice from 1982, Dave Reid. In 387 games over the course of two separate stints with the Black and Gold, Reid scored 89 goals and added 92 assists.
