In AHL action last night, Kris Newbury had two goals and an assist to lead the Whale to a 5-2 win over the Monarchs. For Connecticut, it’s just their third victory in the last 10 games.
In Providence, the B’s and Sharks combined for seven goals in the third period. Worcester had the last laugh, tying things up on a John McCarthy (Andover, Mass.) goal with 6:48 to go before Jon Matsumoto buried the game-winner with 11 seconds remaining in regulation, giving the Sharks a 5-4 victory.
History lesson
On this day in 2007, the Bruins lost by a score of 4-1 to the Blues. Rookie Milan Lucic dazing Barret Jackman in a fight was the lone highlight.
Entirely off-topic
Up until about three and a half minutes ago, I had no idea what Snapchat was. But now I have some sort of clue, and I also know that the always moral folks at Facebook are ripping it off with the Poke (tee-hee, poke!) app in an attempt to obviously dominate the disappearing dirty photos market. What a world we live in.
