The Dallas Stars have inked former Bruins’ defenseman Sergei Gonchar to a new two-year, $10 million dollar contract. The Stars acquired the 39-year-old blueliner in a deal with the Ottawa Senators earlier this week.

History Lesson

Today is the 64th birthday of former Bruins’ defenseman Dennis O’Brien. In two separate stints with the Black and Gold, O’Brien appeared in 83 games, scored four goals and added 11 assists.
