Lucic: 'It's the biggest game of our careers'

Throughout the 2011 postseason, the immense character and immeasurable resilience the Boston Bruins possess has been on full display.
The third period of Game 6 on Wednesday night was no different, as the Black and Gold relentlessly battled until the final horn, twice cutting Tampa Bay's lead to a single goal before falling just short.
"We showed some character coming back like that," Patrice Bergeron said of his team's effort in the final frame. "I thought we played until the end but, at the same time, it was almost too late."
And now because they ran out of time in that tilt, the Bruins season will be on the line on Friday at TD Garden in a decisive seventh game, the second time the building has hosted such an event in these playoffs.
Boston played out an identical scenario one month ago, dropping Game 6 at the Bell Centre to the Habs before moving on to the second round with an overtime victory in Game 7.
"We had a chance to close it out and we didn't do it," winger Milan Lucic said. "The good thing about being up 3-2 is you get another chance. We were able to make the most of that chance (against Montreal). We came up big and we played the way we wanted to play. I remember having a great start in that game and it's going to be the same thing."
Lucic and the Bruins know, however, that tomorrow's tilt is of greater magnitude.
"It's a little further down the road here but you've got to be excited for it, you've got to enjoy it and you've got to be looking forward to that challenge," he said. "For almost all of us, it's the biggest game of our careers. You've just got to go out there, have fun and have no regrets."
The Black and Gold entered their seventh game against the Canadiens with a positive mindset and the utmost confidence, and it worked. They plan on doing the same for Friday's monumental showdown.
"You've got to be confident and you've got to believe," said Lucic. "Everything is on the line here. It's a chance to move on and play for something you've been dreaming about as a kid your whole life. We're in a situation here where it's an exciting situation and we've got to have fun with it and make the most of it."
