Which sports teams did you grow up rooting for?
“Patriots, Bruins, Celtics and Yankees.”
What kind of jobs did you have before you became a pro hockey player?
“I was a french fry cook at a seafood restaurant for a summer, and the following summer I worked in the clubhouse at a local golf course.”
What was the first car that you owned?
“1991 Saab 900.”
If you were running for president, which teammate would you want as your VP?
“Tyler Kennedy. Very few people in the hockey world can talk politics like Tyler.”
What was your “welcome to the NHL” moment?
“My first NHL game, we were playing against Buffalo. I went back for a puck that was dumped in behind the net and knew I was going to get hit. Paul Gaustad crushed me. I ended up on ESPN for being on the receiving end of the hit.”
What do you have to bring with you on the road?
“My bag is always packed with lots of snacks. I eat all day long, and it is tough to find snack food on the road.”
What do you like to do during the offseason?
“A lot of working out and a lot of waterskiing.”
If there was a movie made about your life, which actor would you want to see play you and why?
“Andy Samberg. I just think it would be fun to hang out with him.”
What’s the best nickname anyone has ever given you?
“Reverend Lovejoy, like the Simpsons character. “
